Although many chemicals have the potential to be dangerous, the amount of chlorine inside a pool is normally no more than tap water, unless the pool has just been super chlorinated (shocked) after which you would normally wait eight hours before entering the pool or spa. Although the risk is small, we always recommend using caution if you allow your dog to enter the pool. Keep an eye on your dog to ensure that he or she can swim. If possible, swim with your dog to help create a safer environment for them. Take them out of the water often and have them take a break, ensuring that they do not become exhausted or overexert themselves. Not to mention to take a bathroom or snack/drink break!
